Canon Powershot, f/8, 1/250s, ISO 125, 35mm
I was having fun experimenting taking pictures of a soccer game. The background was incredibly ugly (as seen in a previous blog). I took out the pole that was beside the house and decided to make the background black and white. I tried leaving the grass green but that just looked awkward...
FujiFilm, f/8, 1/680s, ISO 100, 30mm
I thought this was rather ironic. The nets on the side were very distracting so I turned everything black and white and then brought color back to the gates and the slow skiing sign.
FujiFilm, f/8, 1/1000s, ISO 100, 26mm
This was me being a creeper from the chairlift at Red Lodge. I thought it was a cool action picture. I took out the net behind him and made him brighter to draw more attention to him. I also made the ground below him darker to try to bring out the jump a little more.
Canon Rebel, f/5.6, 1/200s, ISO 100, 75mm
This was an otter at the Dakota Zoo. It was around feeding time and he was more than willing to look cute because he knew that humans bring food. I like the detail in his fur
FujiFilm, f/4.7, 1/120s, ISO 100, 15mm
I was trying to capture the morning colors in the water, which somewhat worked. I liked how the steam was rising.
FujiFilm, f/3.8, 1/120s, ISO 100, 6mm
Again, just trying to capture the morning colors here. Didn't quite work as well as I would've liked with my camera, but I still liked the photo.
FujiFilm, f/4.8, 1/450s, ISO 100, 30mm
This was at the Student vs Faculty/Staff Softball game. I thought it was a cool action shot. I took out Steve Germic from the left side of Matt, although if you look close enough you will see that I forgot about his shadow...so apparently ghosts have shadows!
Canon Rebel, f/10, 1/800s, ISO 400, 47mm
This was taken as Mary was sliding across ice by the Missouri River in ND. I loved this picture because of how the light hits her. I also like how she pops out of the image with her blues/purples.
FujiFilm, f/4.8, 1/320s, ISO 100, 30mm
Caught Hil as she was waiting to get on her horse and thought it was kind of cool. I cropped the photo on the top and bottom to try to get rid of some distracting fencing. I also cloned out a horse, feeders, and a water tank above her horse.
Canon Rebel, f/5.6, 1/60s, ISO 100, 52mm
This is my dad as he's feeding horses. I thought it was a photo that told a story with the worn overall suit. The background was boring, so I turned it black and white and made him and the fork full of hay really stand out.
